Norwich City 2 - Leeds Utd 1

Venue: Carrow Road

Attendance: 25018

With just 8 minutes remaining, Wise (the manager) introduced 16-year-old Tom Elliott for his first senior appearance as United looked to take some reward from the contest.

The terrific travelling support (Leeds) raised the volume but they, like the players, went unrewarded for a great effort.

"We're Leeds and we're proud we are, we're Leeds and we're proud we are,

We're Leeds and we're proud we are, we're Leeds and we're proud we are ............"

The Venezuelan LUSC is officially launched this month (Feb) with the maiden voyage of the SS Y.R.A.!!!!!!!!

Tex (Leeds until I die)

(before you ask Chris yes I will be Leeds after that - it's a figure of speech as you know! - look forward to hookin' up with you in April)
Tex, I have no doubt that even if Leeds were playing in the Conference you would still be a loyal supporter

The longer this poor run of from continues, the more I am less convinced that Leeds will get themselves out of it, and the prospect of relegation and playing in the third tier of English football is fast becoming a reality.

I am at aloss for words as to why the team has gone so backwards from last season when they were challenging for promtotion. Ok, they lost their best striker, and more recently their promising young defender, but this surely has to be the worst play off hangover in history.

For the sake of all Leeds loyals supporters I hope you get out of it as considering recent off field events, you deserve better.

And to think I put money on Leeds getting promoted this year:drunk:

Chris you're right of course I'll still be going even when we're playing the Dog & Duck on the local park. But that don't make it any more palatable. Like you I'm running out of words now, I think I've "become comfortably numb" with the whole thing. What we need is a manager not someones mate from a previous club!

I remain optomistic in the sense that football is a strange game and fortunes can change from week to week. My Brother-in-law is convinced Leeds will hang on to Championship football by the skin of their teeth, I hope he's right.

If it's any consolation I had money on Leeds going up aswell

Fuck it:

"We are the Champion, Champions of Europe,

We are the Champions, Champions of Europe,

We are the Champions, Champions of Europe ............................"
I just find it amazing players like David Healy is superb for Northern Ireland, but doesn't seem to perform for Leeds. He, like a number of your player, would get into most Championship, and even some Premiership teams, but it doesn;t seem to happen when they pull on the white Leeds jersey

Your friend sounds quite optimistic, but unless results start changong, very soon, you might find yourself too far adrift. If the worse case does happen, you can always look to the example of Manchester Cuty who went down to the third diviosn and then made a dramatic return, and even the likes of Sheffield Wednesday are on the up after a expereincing similar fortunes.
Look forward to playing you next year.............
