Does anybody know why they decided to have the Pro Bowl before the Super Bowl? That means anybody who was selected for the Pro Bowl but is on a team playing in the Super Bowl isn't going to play - which makes no sense to me.

But it makes sense if you want to make more money off the game. Super Bowl ends the football season so nobody watches it. Play it next week and people hyped about the Super Bowl want to see something on the dead weekend. Higher revenue from the commercials. It's a win-win. Who cares who is missing.

I had actually heard the same thing from a friend of mine while watching the Saints/Viking game. Thanks for your answer, it makes the most sense.
